The fourth round of talks between the European commission and Azerbaijani government to coordinate the national activity plan within the frames of the European neighborhood policy expected to take place in May in Baku, the coordination bureau of the EU technical aid programs told Trend. The negotiating group will be headed by the head of the European neighborhood program, Kurt Jull.

Discussions on economic bloc have been almost completed during the last talks, now only political and some other matters are left. All talks are due to finish by the end of 2006.

The necessity comes from the fact that the EU program is due to close this year, though its projects will continue to be implemented for the next 4 years. The further cooperation with EU will be based upon the policy of European neighborhood.

7 work groups are working in the state commission on European integration to prepare for the implementation of the above mentioned program.

Azerbaijan has received 419m EURO up to now within the frames of the program, without consideration of aid to the regional projects.
