The deputy chiefs of the general headquarters of the Armed forces of GUAM member-states are discussing the issue of establishing joint peacemaking divisions in the middle of June. The head of the Ukrainian military department Anatoly Grisenko and Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev reached an agreement today at the meeting in Baku, Trend reports with reference to press-service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
According to information provided by ITAR-TASS, Grisenko offered Abiyev to hold a meeting with defense ministers of GUAM in fall of this year to achieve a detailed discussion of this issue.
It in necessary to remember that the Ukrainian president Victor Yushinka, Georgian president Mikhayil Saakashvili, Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev and Moldovan president Vladimir Voronin confirmed the Regulation of the created organization Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM.
