Ramil Usubov, the Azerbaijani Interior Minister, stated on 1 July that No cut will be made in the number of policemen, Trend reports.
Over the past 11 years we have repeatedly cut in the number of police in the country. I regard the current number of policy as more optimal from the aspect of preservation of public order in Azerbaijan, the minister said.
Cut in the number o police would be a wrong step. It is necessary to realize whether cut in number of police could harm or benefit the nation, Usubov inquired.
The number of policy per capita in Azerbaijan is very in Azerbaijan as compared to other CIS countries.
