Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / The holding of a protest by the Musavat party will depend on the decision of the Union of Editors, the head of the Central Executive Administration of the Musavat party, Arif Hajily , reported in Baku on the 25th of June.

He noted that if the Union of editors applied to the Baku City Executive Power regarding the protest lead by journalists, the Musavat party would not fix a rally-march in July. "We will try to coordinate the mater with the editors. If the Union of Editors does not have plans to hold a protest, the Musavat party will discuss the matter and will make the decision as to when to hold the next rally," Hajily added.

He stressed that due to the hot weather the protests should be postponed till autumn. The Musavat party has decided to postpone rally-marches, intended to support the actions taken by journalists.

Notably, the right-central opposition party of Musavat was founded in the beginning the 20th century and restored its activities in 1992. The head of the party, Isa Gambar , was the Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament in 1992-1993 and ran for presidency in 2003. The party is represented in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) by five MPs.
