Head of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade congratulated Muslims across the world today on Ramadan.
"In all sincerity, I congratulate all Muslims across the world on this precious day, and I wish that Allah accepts your fasting and your prayers," he said in his congratulatory message.
Pashazade sent his "purest wishes" to Azerbaijani Muslims, who he called "an integral part of the Islamic world." He also wished Azerbaijanis tranquility and a secure homeland.
"In this dear day for us, we pray to God Almighty to liberate our country from occupation, and for the Azerbaijani flag to rise in Karabakh," he said. "We ask the Almighty to grant success to our people and our government under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership."
