Vilnus mulls journalist's security

The issue of ensuring journalists' safety in the OSCE member-countries is being mulled in Vilnius upon the structure's initiative.
The Conference started on Tuesday and will last two days, the Azerbaijan Press Council told Trend
Discussing safety of journalists, examining obstacles to their safe work environment, and sharing and promoting good practices in guaranteeing secure and free work conditions for the media will be the focus of an OSCE conference.
The conference participants also will exchange views on the state of media legislation in the OSCE member countries, judicial system processes associated with the media, civil society contributions to the journalists' safety
Press Council Chairman Aflatun Amashev, Director of the Media Rights Institute Rashid Hajili, the Freedom and Director of Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety Emin Huseynov represent Azerbaijan in the conference.
