The Folklore Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Eastern Mediterranean University are jointly organizing the Seventh International Folklore Conference on the topic of "From for common Turkic past to common Turkic future" in the Gazimagusa city in Northern Cyprus in December.
Turkic peoples to hold international folklore conference

The Folklore Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Eastern Mediterranean University are jointly organizing the Seventh International Folklore Conference on the topic of "From for common Turkic past to common Turkic future" in the Gazimagusa city in Northern Cyprus in December.

This conference has been held since 2003, ANAS told Trend. It aims to demonstrate the historical relations between Turkic peoples, a scientific study of the impact that events in Eurasia have on culture and folklore, and to bring new knowledge and discoveries obtained during these studies to Turkish scientists and scientists around the world.

The forthcoming conference will be devoted to "Turkic tales: language, culture and values".

The conference will assemble experts and researchers studying actual problems of Turkic people's folklore and the study of folklore.
