First group of pilgrims to arrive in Turkey on Monday evening

The first group of Azerbaijani pilgrims, returning from Hajj, will pass the Syrian-Turkish border this evening, the Caucasus Muslims Department (CMD), told Trend.

They are pilgrims, who selected the land route of pilgrimage to Hajj. The second group of pilgrims is at present in Jordan and their buses will enter Syria this evening, the same source said.

The CMD announced that part of pilgrims, who selected the air route to Hajj are at present in Medina to pay a tribute at Prophet Mohammads tomb. The second part of pilgrims will go to Medina on 16 January. The pilgrims will leave from Medina to Jeddah and will be delivered home by groups starting from 17 January 2006.

All pilgrims are safe and sound, the CMD said.
