The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan, Intigam Babayev, briefed the media that the 2007 plan of action at the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan has been confirmed, Trend reports.
According to him, last year the fundamental primary tasks, which will be implemented in 2007, have been laid.
Babayev stressed that that this year many international events will be held in Azerbaijan. A conference of the members of the European Youth Forum and 3rd Forum of the young leaders of CIS and Baltic countries will take place in Azerbaijan this year, the Deputy Minister said.
In addition, a meeting of CIS Youth Ministers will take place in Baku. A forum of student youths of countries of the Black Sea basin and other international events will take place in Azerbaijan. All these testify the attention of the State towards young people, as well as the strengthening of the country's influence. Generally we face large tasks, Babayev said.
He stressed that the State attaches great importance to youth policy. Therefore, the Ministry tries to cover the interests of young people. However, we cannot apply all models because we need to keep to national traditions of Azerbaijan, Babayev concluded.
