Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / The preparatory court session on the law suit of the former Health Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Insanov, against the Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), Ali Ahmadov, did not take place.
According to the information provided by Sabail District Court, the preparatory court session has been postponed to 4 April due to the fact that Judge, Ilham Agayev, who chairs the court session will be attending another event. Insanov will not attend the session. Ali Ahmadov will be represented by Ikram Shirinov and Insanov will be represented by Agaveys Shahverdi.
Insanov has accused Ahmadov of insulting his dignity in the article "Ali Insanov changes Heydar Aliyev's Way" published in Azerbaijan Newspaper on 7 March. In his law suit, Insanov requested that Ahmadov should apologize, refute the comments and be held responsible.
Insanov was arrested in October 2005, accused of coup d'etat and considerable disorder. On 15 February 2007, the process began at the Azerbaijan Court on Heinous Crimes over the cases of Ali Insanov and other 10 prosecuted employees of the Health Ministry.
