Gudsi Osmanov, the Azerbaijani Consul-General of St. Petersburg, speaking at the plenum sitting on the first day of the Festival on 24 May touched upon the state of the Azerbaijani youth residing and studying in the city, their problems, student life, national tolerance and the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora youth.

The representatives of the Administration noted the strong Azerbaijani diaspora in St. Petersburg and informed the attendees of the important part of Azerbaijani compatriots in socio-political and economic life of the city.
