Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / The Anti-Torture Committee of Azerbaijan held monitoring in several institutions of the Penal Service of Azerbaijan, Committee's Head, Elchin Behbudov, stated on 4 June.
Behbudov said that he became familiar with the detention conditions in Prisons No 10 and 11 of the Penal System of the Justice Ministry. The prisoners did not have any complaints on their living conditions.
Due to the complaint of the relatives of one of the prisoners, the Chairman of the Committee met with Mammadov who is serving his sentence in Prison No 11. Mammadov denied allegations by his family of torture and bullying.
