Georgian skiing resorts attract Israelis

Georgia and Israel are negotiating to up flights between the two countries, Head of the Tourism Department Petre Kankava said on June 24.

It is expected that a number of flights between Georgia and Israel will increase to 5 a week.

At present air communication between the countries are carried out twice a week.

The Israeli Embassy in Georgia reported that especially, the Georgian skiing resorts where prices are almost by 60 percent lower than in Europe.

The Tourism Department plans to hold some events to popularize Georgia in Israel. Particularly, it is planned to hold exhibitions in Jerusalem and the Tel-Aviv airport.
