Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov underscored the need to ensure affordable prices on consumer goods during a recent governmental meeting this week.
His instructions were addressed to Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Minister Bayar Abayev.
The president also demanded strict control over the issuing of trade and food production licenses, the observance of sanitary and hygienic norms, and the keeping of order at new shopping centers and markets.
Berdimuhammadov also asked Abayev to prioritize trade and economic cooperation abroad.
