The Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition, will open its doors in Baku Expo Center on 20 October, marking the start of Caspian Construction Week. For 16 years, BakuBuild has firmly held its position as the largest and leading construction forum not only in Azerbaijan, but the entire Caspian region.

The interest in the exhibition is due to the fact that at the show you can communicate with partners and potential customers, and demonstrate your products and services to the over 10,000 professionals who visit the event every year.

BakuBuild is supported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, National Confederation of Entrepreneurs' (Employers') Organisations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Union of Architects of Azerbaijan.

BakuBuild has held "UFI Approved Event" status from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry for four years, which is proof of the high quality of the event and the reliability of the exhibition statistics. The exhibition is organised by ITE Group (UK) and its partner in the Caucasus, Iteca Caspian.

The key to the success of the exhibition is the coordinated work of ITE Group's network of partners - EUF (Turkey), GiMA (Germany), ITE Gulf (UAE), International Show srl. (Italy), ITE China and ITE Poland - which attract international companies to participate in the exhibition. The partners of the autumn exhibitions in 2010 are Azerfon-Vodafone, Pasha Sigorta, Caspel, Greenwich Travel Club, SIAR and the Caucus Point Hotel.

Despite the difficult situation in the construction sector worldwide caused by the global financial and economic crisis, the exhibition statistics and variety of products presented reflect an upturn in the construction sector.  The exhibition occupies two pavilions in the new exhibition centre, as well as outdoor space.  The growth of BakuBuild 2010, in terms of the number of companies and internal area, amounts to 20% compared to last year.  This year, there will be 260 exhibiting companies from 25 countries, including Azerbaijan, Greece, Poland, Russia, Turkey and others. Portugal and Latvia, which are newcomers to the exhibition, will be represented by several companies.

Along with the individual stands at BakuBuild there will be six group stands, including the German national stand, organised in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, and Finish and Iranian national groups.  For the second consecutive year, the exhibition will feature the national stand of Lithuania.  At its national stand, Ukraine will demonstrate its potential in the construction industry for the first time at the exhibition.

Ukraine's participation is supported by the Ministry of Economic of Ukraine.  Another newcomer is the Italian national stand, organised with the assistance of the Pro-Brixia Chamber of Commerce, and including companies from the Italian province of Brescia.  Encouragingly, local companies, most of which are regular exhibitors at BakuBuild, will actively participate in the exhibition.  Companies from Azerbaijan account for 35% of all exhibitors, and include businesses and factories not only from the capital, but other regions of the country also.

The exhibition will present construction materials, finishing and facing materials, equipment for the manufacture of windows, technologies for the production of concrete and cement, construction equipment, specialised equipment, landscaping, architectural and landscape design, construction chemicals, woodworking equipment, production lines and tools, sanitaryware, ceramics and more.  The outdoor area will display a large assortment of construction machinery and equipment from Germany, Turkey, South Korea, UK, Russia, Italy and other countries.

In addition, the exhibition will demonstrate a wide range of new products in the industry.  Consumers will be introduced to unique thermal insulation and sealing materials, new generation roofing materials, multi-purpose cutters, cleaning filters, fillers, kilns, new kinds of sectional gates, exclusive blacksmithing products, precast construction technology - which reduces construction costs by up to 30% - a portable autonomous powder coating system, and much more.

The stands of companies presenting new products and technologies will have a special "Innovation Zone" sign, making it easy to find these companies, both in the exhibition and on the plan. This is part of a new project at the exhibition - "Innovation Zone", in which participating companies can more widely demonstrate original new products, technologies and services at the exhibition.  A detailed description of all the products, technologies and services presented, and the contact details of the companies, will be given in the "Innovation Zone" catalogue, which will be distributed in Baku Expo Center during the exhibition.

BakuBuild will be accompanied by a comprehensive business programme, including presentations and master classes. There is due to be a business forum with the participation of business groups from Ukraine. An important component of the business programme will be the roundtable discussion entitled "A City for All", which will focus on innovative technologies and urban planning, with consideration of special provisions for the elderly, disabled and youngest residents of the city. The roundtable will be held on the second day of the exhibition, 22 October, and will bring together representatives of government agencies.

The exhibition will, therefore, be an important event for professionals, and offer a number of advantages for visitors. Firstly, BakuBuild will be held in the newly-built Baku Expo Center, which has a developed infrastructure. For the convenience of visitors to the exhibition, there will be free shuttle buses to and from Baku Expo Center. A detailed bus timetable is available on the official website www.bakubuild.az/transport. Secondly, the segmented structure of BakuBuild allows professionals who are planning to visit the exhibition to use their time in the most effective way, focusing on topics of interest to them.

This year, for the first time, Aqua-Therm Baku - the International Exhibition for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Water Supply, Sanitary and Environmental Technology - will be held alongside BakuBuild. The event will feature 60 companies from 15 countries, including Azerbaijan, Germany, Denmark, Iran, Italy, Turkey and Switzerland. For several years, a sector at BakuBuild has been devoted to heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, plumbing and water supply. As a result of the intensive development of this sector and the interest in it from local and international market participants, the sector has developed into an independent exhibition under the Aqua-Therm Baku brand. The organisers are Iteca Caspian, Fin-mark Srl., and ITE Group plc.

BakuBuild continues to enable everyone to find what they need. For visitors, there is everything for construction, decoration and interior design; and for prospective partners, the exhibition creates conditions for more effective cooperation between companies in need of partners in related fields. BakuBuild 2010 will showcase the achievements of all the major areas of the building and interiors industry, make a serious contribution to increasing the investment attractiveness of the industry in Azerbaijan.  The exhibition will continue until 23 October.

Caspian MebelExpo 2010, the 8th Caspian International Furniture, Interiors and Design Exhibition, will take place on 20-23 October in the newly-built Baku Expo Center. It is the only specialised event for the furniture industry in the Caspian and Caucasus region. The exhibition is held alongside the major Azerbaijani construction exhibition BakuBuild. Every year, Caspian MebelExpo demonstrates the diversity of products and offerings in the market, providing reliable information about the main trends in the region's furniture industry, thus helping to attract investment in Azerbaijan's furniture sector, and develop the industry and local production.

The exhibition is supported by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs' (Employers') Organisations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and organised by ITE Group and its partner in the Caucasus, Iteca Caspian. The partners of the autumn exhibitions in 2010 are Azerfon-Vodafone, Pasha Sigorta, Caspel, Greenwich Travel Club, SIAR and the Caucas Point Hotel.

This year, Caspian MebelExpo will feature companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Iran, Lithuania, Oman, USA and Turkey. The show will present a wide range of furniture products, including: furniture suites and accessories, fittings, new generation parts and finishing materials, advanced design technologies and original solutions in furniture design, interior design, wallpapers, home textiles, lighting, mirrors, crystal and much more. In addition to the traditional products, orthopaedic mattresses, and garden and conservatory furniture will be presented.

The exhibition will include presentations of original products, such as elite waterproof wicker furniture for swimming pools from Spain. Embawood will give a presentation on a new furniture brand, Madeira.

The exhibition is, therefore, an important international event, which will not only introduce the Azeri public to new products in the field of interior design, but also help to establish successful business cooperation between manufacturers and the business community and prospective buyers in Azerbaijan. In addition, Caspian MebelExpo will help saturate the Azerbaijani market with quality furniture products and address an important social objective: improving the quality of life of Azerbaijan's citizens.
