World Bank allocates $70 million on road reconstruction in Georgia

The Board of Directors of the World Bank has approved the allocation of $ 70 million on Georgia's projects for reconstruction of the roads in rural areas.

The Board of Directors of the World Bank has approved the allocation of $ 70 million on Georgia's projects for reconstruction of the roads in rural areas.

According to the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, only a part of the project the state of 19 road sections the total length of 225 kilometers will be improved. In addition, training seminars will be held for employees of road services. According to experts, the project will benefit about 150,000 rural residents.

The World Bank carried out 52 projects totaling $1.6 billion in Georgia since 1992. Some 440 million of these was spent on road construction and repair,
