Turkey will provide employment to 5,000 people with disabilities in 2018, Ministry of Family and Social Policies told Trend Jan. 10.
The ministry said over the past 15 years, Turkey has implemented many projects aimed at integrating people with disabilities into the social life of the country.
The number of employed people with disabilities was 5,000 in 2002, according to the ministry.
"The number exceeded 152,000 in late 2017,” added the ministry.
As of late September 2017, economically active population increased by 1.233 million in Turkey and totaled 28.797 million, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
