Kazakhstan’s "Food Corporation" announces volumes of grain supplies to Azerbaijan

In January-September 2018, the Food Contract Corporation CJSC (Food Corporation, the national company of Kazakhstan) delivered 88,800 tons of grain to Azerbaijan, the сorporation said in a statement.

Azerbaijan accounted for 25 percent of all foreign supplies of the Food Corporation. Azerbaijan ranked second as per this indicator.

In total, in the first nine months of 2018, the company shipped 355,000 tons of grains and oilseeds abroad. The largest volume of production was delivered to Iran – 110,600 tons (31.1 percent of all deliveries).

The third place is held by Turkmenistan – 88,600 tons (24.9 percent). It is followed by Georgia – 30,400 tons (8.6 percent), Uzbekistan – 16,400 tons (4.6 percent), China – 10,400 tons (2.9 percent) and Tajikistan – 10,000 tons (2.8 percent).

The Food Contract Corporation CJSC was established as a result of the reorganization of the State Food Contract Corporation in 1997. Since 2006, the company has been owned by KazAgro Holding JSC.
