The value of exported products of Iran's Qazvin Province has reached to $700 million over the last 12 months, Trend reports via IRNA.

The mentioned figure is a 17-percent increase over the same period last year.

The deputy governor of Qazvin Manouchehr Habibi previously said that the products were exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Germany and the Netherlands.

He said that last year over 7,000 hectares of land in the province were covered by new irrigation systems, and 9,000 more hectares are planned to be covered in the future.

“Despite the US sanctions, the province attracted $65 million of foreign investment,” he added.

Among the economic programs of the province, Habibi mentioned the establishment of a dry port, obtaining permits to create an economic zone and the establishment of an export terminal in the province.
