Amperax Energy Georgia plans to build an 11-megawatt wind farm with German investments in Kaspi, Georgia, said the project manager Luka Lebanidze, Trend reports citing bm.ge.

According to him, the investment cost of the project is $15 million.

“At this stage, we have completed all technical researches, a tariff agreement has already been signed with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. We are going to proceed to the construction phase”, said Luka Leballidze.

According to him, investors' interest was triggered by the wind potential in Georgia, and they decided to start with this small project, test the Georgian market, and then develop larger projects in Georgia.

Reportedly, the facility will generate about 40 million kWh of electricity per year.
