Kazakhstan to launch assembling of Russian helicopters

Assembling of semi-knocked down Russian MI helicopters will be established at the base of Kazakhstan’s Almaty aircraft repair plant №405 in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.

The decision was made during the meeting between Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov during 14th MAKS Air Show 2019 in Russia's Zhukovskiy city.

Within the framework of the meeting, ministers also discussed the implementation of joint documents signed on April 3, 2019, during the visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev to Russia.

Furthermore, the parties agreed on the implementation of new projects in area of aeronautical engineering, which oversee the maximal cooperation of Kazakhstan’s and Russia’s ventures.

As stated by the press office, special attention was given to the integration of Kazakh products to manufacturing line of assembling of airplanes manufactured in Russia.

In conclusion, parties discussed a wide range of issues related to development of industrial cooperation and implementation of bilateral projects, including those on the base of existing and new manufacturing on the territory of Kazakhstan.
