In the second half of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), a major water and electricity project will be commissioned once every week, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian told reporters, Trend reports via the Iranian Energy Ministry’s website.
He said that more than 220 projects will be commissioned in Iran related to water, water networks, sewerage, heating and alternative energy resources sphere.
Ardakanian added that the electricity industry production increased by 150,000 megawatt hours last Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019) compared to the previous year.
“This year, we have a record in production and consumption,” he said. “At the same time, consumption decreased by about 3,700 megawatts.”
The Iranian minister noted that electricity exports have also increased.
