Exports of ferroalloys from Georgia to Turkey decrease

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 20

Georgia exported 13,859 tons of ferroalloys totaling $14.8 million to Turkey from January through October 2019, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

On an annualized basis, Georgia reduced the export of ferroalloys by 8,805 tons. Over the same period last year, 22,664 tons of ferroalloys totaling $27.4 million were exported from Georgia to Turkey.

Meanwhile, Georgia exported 65,175 tons of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel worth $24.7 million to Turkey from January through October 2019.

In reporting period, Georgia increased the export of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel. Over the same period last year, 45,535 tons of steel semi-finished products totaling $21.7 million were exported from Georgia to Turkey.

From January through October 2019, Georgia exported 9,347 tons of copper ores and concentrates totaling $13.7 million to Turkey.

On an annualized basis, Georgia reduced the export of copper ores and concentrates by 4,217 tons or 1.45 times. Over the same period last year, 13,564 tons of copper ores and concentrates were imported from Georgia to the country for a total amount of $18.4 million.

For ten months of 2019, total exports from Turkey to Georgia amounted to $1.3 billion. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $169.5 million to Turkey.

The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey from January to October 2019 exceeded $1.4 billion, which is 14.2 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
