Russian Kaluga Turbine Works OJSC will manufacture and supply power equipment to Kazakhstan’s Ural thermal power station, Trend reports with reference to Kaluga Turbine Works.
The corresponding agreement was signed between Kaluga Turbine Works and Kazakhstan’s Zhaiykteploenergo company, which operates the plant. In accordance with the agreement, Kaluga Turbine Works will manufacture and deliver a set of power equipment, consisting of a steam turbine, a generator, and an automatic control system for the Ural thermal power plant.
The produced equipment will be used to upgrade the existing infrastructure of the power station. The equipment supplies are planned for June 2021.
Kaluga Turbine Works OJSC is one of the largest manufacturers of power production equipment in Russia. The production program includes steam turbines for actuating electric generators, drive steam turbines, block-type turbogenerators, steam geothermal turbines, and electrical power units.
