Azerbaijan’s exports of finished textiles amounted to $18.4 million from January through November 2020, which decreased by 9.2 percent or $1.87 million on an annualized basis, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
The share of these products in Azerbaijan's total exports reached 0.14 percent, while in 2019 this share was equal to 0.11 percent.
“At the same time, Azerbaijan’s import of finished textile products increased by $21.9 million or 71.9 percent over the year, amounting to $52.4 million. The share of these products in total imports of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.54 percent, having increased by 0.29 percentage points year on year,” the SCC report said.
By December 1, 2020, the volume of foreign trade turnover of finished textile products amounted to $70.8 million, having grown in annual circulation by 39.5 percent or $20.04 million.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover as of early December 2020 made up over $22.7 billion. Of these, more than $13 billion, or 57.42 percent, accounted for exports, and $9.68 billion, or 42.58 percent, for imports.
