BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26. The number of industrial enterprises put into operation in Iran increased by 3.4 percent, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through February 19, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

In total, 6,844 industrial enterprises were put into operation in Iran in 11 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 6,622.

As a result of the operation of these enterprises, 143,184 people were employed over 11 months. This is 13.6 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.

Thus, 126,059 people had been employed in Iran’s industrial enterprises in the same period last Iranian year.

According to the statistics, 2.37 quadrillion rials (about $56.5 billion) have been spent on these enterprises for the reporting period. Expenditures increased by 28.1 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure amounted to 1.85 quadrillion rials (about $44.1 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.

In addition, within 11 months, Iran issued licenses for the setting up of 36,066 enterprises in the country. A total of 11.2 quadrillion rials (about $249 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises, and if the enterprises are put into operation, 880,700 people is to be employed.
