BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. In total, about 2.93 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.57 billion were exported through the customs of Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province in the north-west of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Customs Inspector of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province Leili Orangi told IRNA, Trend reports.

“Last year, the non-oil exports via the province’s customs decreased by 5 percent in value while increasing by 4 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022),” she said.

Orangi added that the main exported goods were various steel products, chemicals and petrochemical products, and food and agricultural products.

According to the official, the mentioned goods were exported to 104 countries, mainly Türkiye, Iraq, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia.

Meanwhile, Iran exported more than 122 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $53.2 billion in the last Iranian year, which increased by 10 percent in value, while did no changed in volume compared to the preceding year.
