From January to February the construction work in Azerbaijan comprised 264.7m manats or 23.2% more as compared 2005. A total of 31.8m manats (12%) fell to state enterprises, 232.9 manats (88%) - private companies, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee.
81.3% or 215.3m manats fell to new buildings, restoration and expansion, 11.4% or 30.1m manats - overhaul repair, 3.8% or 10.1m manats -current repair, 3.5% or 9.2m manats - other construction work.
As of 22 March 2006 official rate of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) US dollar in respect to manats was 0,9104 AZN.
