AZPROMO, Azerbaijan Export and Investments Encouragement Fund, is expected to establish a partner office in Kazakhstan under Action Plan 2007.
As Trend reports referring to a message being spread by AZPROMO, Emil Madjudov, the Head of the Fund, told the Trustee Council of AZPROMO during a sitting held on February 6th, that it was necessary to establish a structure of the Fund abroad.
The Fund's research shows broad possibilities for the activity of Azerbaijani companies in Kazakhstan's market. According to their results, an AZPROMO office is being proposed to open in Kazakhstan to present and protect the interests of Azerbaijani companies, noted Mr. Madjidov. The Trustee Council approved this idea.
During the sitting, a decision on the admission of 18 new members to the Fund was made. The head of the Council, Heydar Babayev, Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister, gave a positive view to the activity of AZPROMO in 2006.
Our objective is to ensure growth in the non-oil sector of the country. Over 40 arrangements organized by the Fund in 2006, as well as its cooperation with local and foreign companies were proposed just for the realization of this idea, considers the Economic Development Minister.
