Russian Company Interested to Expand Operations in Azerbaijan

Russia, Moscow, 28 April / corr Trend R.Agayev / Integra, one of the leading Russian diversified services and machine-building companies, is interested in expanding its activities in Azerbaijan, the company's senior management stated in a news conference in Moscow, dedicated to the development of business in CIS countries. Integra renders services to enterprises of oil and gas sector and it has been registered in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and recently in Turkmenistan.

Mark Sadikhov, the first deputy chairman of the managing board of Integra, said that the company has operated in Azerbaijan a long time ago as one of the divisions of Eurasia Smith. The company has traditionally had a market in Azerbaijan and been involved both in equipment supply and the implementation of customer services. Business in Azerbaijan is divided into two large blocs, offshore and onshore. "Indeed, we have large volumes and are eager to increase these volumes for western operators and for the Azerbaijan national oil company. At present we are sanctioning a huge project on drilling management, and last year we developed a very successful seismic project Azerbaijan," Sadikhov said.

He said that there are huge plans on the expansion of operations in Azerbaijan, because during the soviet period Azerbaijan was the biggest center and gradually returns to the production of equipment for oil sector. At the same time, offshore has developed seriously in Azerbaijan over the past few years and reimbursement was observed in the production section. "Respectively, share of Azerbaijan in the oil produced grew several times, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has developed rapidly with its capacities both in offshore and onshore. Obviously, large market and tremendous prospects for cooperation open for us and we are interested in operating in Azerbaijan," Sadikhov said.

Valeriy Bassel, the Integra vice president for sales, said that the key objective of establishing a network of representations is the introduction of a set of services at the CIS markets. This is the study of market and analysis of opportunities for expansion of activities in these countries. "Achievement of leadership in this field, increase of business efficiency and its diversification are the major constituents of the Group's business expansion in CIS," Bassel said.
