The process of dismantling the physically and morally outdated machineries and equipments in the shops in the Production unit " Azerkimya" of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan). Work of these machineries has recently been suspended, SOCAR said.
The operations are held to reconstruct these shops based on advanced modern technologies, the company said. The most commonly operations on dismantling are held at the oldest plant, subordinated to the PU- "Surface-active substances". In recent days operations on dismantling cable overpass owned by 110-kV substation near the plant "Superphosphate" have been completed. Also, the preparatory works to start dismantling of pipes with length of two kilometers, which were used in the second and tenth shops of the plant for the transport of paraffin, toluene and benzene, are underway.
Similar operations are also carried out at the "Organic Synthesis" plant. Also here operations on dismantling the various pipes and communications are underway. Dismantled equipment, pipes and communication lines are sorted and usable ones are stored in special warehouses. It is also planned dismantling of production means, which can not be restored and which do not meet the requirements, in particular benzene, ethylene, epichlorid, glycerine and chlorine shops in the near future.
