Iranian National Gas Company head: Talks on Iranian gas export to India intensified

Activity was observed in the discussions on the export of Iranian gas to India after discussions on export of Iranian gas to Pakistan were completed and an agreement was reached with this country to build a gas pipeline, director of the Iranian National Gas Company Javad Oudzhi said, MEHR agency reported.

He said that at the moment Pakistan begun construction of a 700-kilometer pipeline in its territory within the project "Mir". Iran will begin construction of the remaining 200 kilometers of the seventh pipeline to the border with Pakistan in the nearest future," Oudzhi said.

At present, the negotiations are held with the Indian company SAEG to export Iranian gas to this country.

The work at Iranian seventh pipeline has been completed Asooli - Bandar Abbas (422 km) and Bandar Abbas - Iranshehr (480 km). Power of the pipeline is 50 million cubic meters of gas per day. Nine new stations will be built to increase gas pressure. The power of the pipeline will reach 110 million cubic meters of gas.

Oudzhi said that Oman, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates plan to purchase natural gas from Iran.

"The negotiations will be launched with these countries soon," Oudzhi said.
