SOCAR plans to complete drilling of the first exploration well on the Goshadash perspective structure in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea before the end of the year, a source in SOCAR told Trend on Monday.
He said that at the present time, the depth of the well is 1,550 meters out of projected 3,500 meters.
"Drilling continues and, as planned, it will be completed by the end of this year," the source said.
Drilling operations will be conducted by Integrated Drilling Trust of SOCAR.
