Iran ready to share its experience in oil, gas & petrochemical sector with Syria

Iran is ready to share its experience in the oil, gas and petrochemical sector with Syria, said Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh after meeting with Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resource Ali Suleiman Ghanem, Trend reports citing Shana news agency.

Zangeneh said that Iran’s private sector may play a key role in the production of equipment and petrochemicals, as well as in the construction of industrial facilities in oil, gas and petrochemical sector.

He added that some Iranian companies are operating in Syria.

Commenting on the sale of oil to Syria by Iran’s private or public sectors, he said that Iran’s private sector doesn’t sell oil to Syria.

The Iranian minister reiterated that he made no comments on the exports of Iranian oil.

In turn, Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resource Ali Suleiman Ghanem said that on Sept. 23, he got closely acquainted with Iran’s South Pars Gas Complex and the petrochemical facilities in Asalouyeh city.

He noted that developments in the South Pars Gas Complex show that Iran has made great progress in this area.
