The total turnover of Azerbaijan’s Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 980.3 million manat ($576.6 million) in March 2020, which is almost 14 percent less than in the same month of 2019, Trend reports on April 14 referring to the BSE’s data.
During the month, the volume of turnover increased by 2.3 times and since the beginning of the year - by 46.9 percent.
The turnover in the debt instrument market amounted to 798.7 million manat ($469.8 million), increasing for the month by 3.4 times and by 30.08 percent since the beginning of 2020. The volume of turnover dropped by 26.75 percent per annum.
The turnover in the stock market amounted to 303,200 manat ($178,352) in March 2020 decreasing by 20.7 times for the month. The volume of turnover has increased twofold since early 2020 and by 15.5 percent per annum.
Turnover in repo operations for the month decreased by 3.6 percent and amounted to 181.2 million manat ($106.6 million) in March. However, the turnover of operations has increased by 3.4 times since the beginning of the year while by more than 4.8 times per annum.
