So far, pre-paid subscribers of Azercell Telecom LLC could benefit from roaming service in Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, United Arab Emirates, Moldova and Kazakhstan.
In order to activate RoamCELL service, you need just to dial *135*1#YES before leaving Azerbaijani borders.
On 19 Jan 1996, Azercell Telecom was established as a JV by Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. and the Azerbaijani Communications & IT Ministry. The company launched its operation on 15 December 1996, offering its clients mobile network services with post-payment. Now, the number of Azercell subscribers exceeds 3mln.
