Azerbaijan, Baku, October 11 / Trend H. Valiyev /

Volume of the international communication channels rented in Azerbaijan is three times lower than real capacity of traffic delivered to Azerbaijan, Delta Telecom technical director, Rahid Alekberli, told Trend .

He said that it deals with two capacities. Delta Telecom buys one of them and delivers to Azerbaijan. The company sells the other one to Internet providers. Before, dynamics was equally developed. But now only three Mbit/s of ten Mbit/s are sold. The rest seven Mbit/s are used as reserves.

Delta Telecom's traffic is received via optical lines from Iran, Russia and Turkey.

Alekberli said that capacity of AzNET hits 30 Gbit/s, only three have been loaded. Dynamics of AzNET development is very weak and does not reach the level which was three years ago. It is connected with existing factors based on shortages of infrastructure created between Internet providers and end-users.

Unused capacities are in reserve to increase stability of AzNET from external factors.
