Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan.12 / Trend , H.Veliyev /

The Cybernetics Institute of the Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences will introduce monitoring system of forecasting in producing enterprises and operating companies with SOCAR's (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) participation, Institute Director Telman Aliyev told Trend .

Aliyev said at present, operations on introduction of monitoring system in 190 wells of Shirvan oil operating company, 10 wells of Karasu operating company, as well as two wells of Binagadi oil operating company and Balakhanineft and Surakhanineft Oil and Gas Producing Departments.

A presentation of the monitoring system will be held in SOCAR in the near future with a view of its further introduction in all wells of SOCAR's oil and gas producing enterprises. The forecasting system will allow initially identifying micro damages at the initial stage of development. The system will also allow lowering costs for electricity, which has a positive effect on production costs, up to 70 percent.

The monitoring system allows receiving signals (information) on wind speed, temperature, pressure, speed, and distance by means of sensors. Each signal has its defined clutters, which allows forecasting of undesirable incidents.

The Cybernetics Institute develops the theoretical foundations for forecasting of situations that can lead to catastrophic accidents with high ecological and social damages. Using the system in the aviation, petroleum and other sectors will reduce accidents to a minimum. Great number of noise and clutters are registered in the process of drilling or flight. It is possible to forecast emergencies using these clusters as carriers of information.
