The United Nations Development Program announced a tender for the purchase of server hardware under the solid waste management project, Project Manager Islam Mustafayev told Trend on Tuesday.
Mustafayev said the server hardware will be designed to store data about the collection and transportation of solid waste, state of landfills in the regions and Baku, amount of household waste per person, their composition, environmental impact and chemical analysis of air, water and soil.

The solid waste management project in Baku is designed for 20 years. The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry has signed contracts with consultants on the project, which has already started to work.
It is planned to prepare analytical studies on the prediction of the total population, study the existing system of solid waste management, waste composition, as well as explore rates and analyze legal aspects in this field.
