Portmanat payment system will launch QR Code payments in the retail commercial facilities of Baku, the Portmanat company told Trend.
Presently, the new payment method is undergoing internal testing, according to the company.
“We are considering the possibility of making QR Code payments available both online and offline,” the company said. “Making payments via QR Code will be possible through our mobile application. This option has been already included in the application, but it is not yet available for general use.”
In practice, the QR Code will be indicated on a check issued by a seller, and the payments will be carried out by scanning the QR Code via the application.
“The buyer, after scanning the check, will be able to choose a card via which he or she wants to make payment,” the company said. “In the near future, users will be offered an updated version of the application.”
