The average monthly salary in Kazakhstan rose by 16.6 percent in September compared to the same month of last year, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported referring to Kazakh Statistics Agency..
"The average nominal wage per employee increased by 16.6 percent in September 2011, and by 7.3 percent in real terms compared to the corresponding month of last year and amounted to 91,925 tenge," the press release issued on Thursday said.
Employees involved in professional, scientific and technological activities with 181,500 tenge per month, mining and quarrying industry with 175,700 tenge and financial and insurance activities with 160,700 tenge have the highest salary in the country.
Workers operating in water and sewage system and controlling over the collection and distribution of waste have the lowest wage worth 54,600 tenge.
On Nov. 10, the official rate in Kazakhstan was 147,91 tenge per $ 1.
