Lithuania is interested in long-term agreements with Kazakhstan

( Kazakhstan Today ) - Lithuania is interested in signing long-term agreements with Kazakhstan, said Lithuania Foreign Minister Petras Vaitekunas meeting with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev today in Astana.

"We are interested in your investments and in signing with you long-term agreements. We offer Kazakhstan to build up in Lithuania its own oil and oil products terminal, and also filling stations network", - said Lithuania Foreign Ministry head. Kazakhstan is "a sign economic partner" for Lithuania, he added.

From his side Kazakh Prime Minister underlined that the cooperation potential between Kazakhstan and Lithuania is not used in its full volume. "Commodity turnover analysis shows us the necessity of its widening, and first of all by its diversification", - stressed Karim Massimov.

"Kazakhstan as before counts on Lithuania support in Kazakhstan OSCE 2009 Presidency bid, and also expresses its appreciation for Vilnius support of our candidate", - said during the meeting Kazakh Prime-Minister.

According to the Prime-Minister press-service information, economic cooperation with Lithuania value is defined by developed transit-transport infrastructure, energy raw materials and other export Kazakh products safety delivery perspectives for European market, but also by huge opportunities for investments.
