The meeting against the Council of the Judges selection is going on in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, 24.kg reported. Civil activists and the deputies of Youth Parliament decided to speak on the subject of quality of Council work.

They consider that it is necessary to reelect the Council Chairman, since he has not excellent reputation, and demand to bring the regulations of the Board in accordance with the requirements of transparency.

According to the Chairman of the "Mental health" Public Association Burul Mekenbaeva, the Constitutional reform is attached to the presidential elections. In a rush the attempts to elect all the judges are made, although logically it could be enough to elect only the judges of the Constitutional Chamber. "We should understand that reforming of judiciary is more important for us than the presidential elections, since presidents come and leave, bur judges stay. The working methods, which are used by the Council of the judges selection, may lead to the fact that the judiciary will consist of the same corrupt judges, who at one time led to the collapse of the former regimes," told Burul Mekenbaeva.

As the participants of the protest action noted, the members of the Council do not work impartially. "They estimate the applicants beforehand, indicating the subjective approach. Part of the complaints submitted to the council, is hidden, that does not give an opportunity to conduct a full analysis of the purity of the candidates. Many worthy candidates did not manage to submit applications for participation in selection," they added.

The participants of the action are holding posters in hands "For future without judicial mafia", "No judges tyranny", "We demand re-election of the chairman". About 10 activists participate in the action.
