Hungary will increase scholarship quota for students from Kyrgyzstan

The Government of Hungary has decided to increase quota of scholarships for Kyrgyzstan from 25 to 75 seats - starting from September 1, 2018. Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjártó said this at a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev in Budapest, Kabar reports.

Earlier, Hungarian Minister of Education László Palkovics told about an increase in quota from 25 to 50 seats.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that in view of the high level of bilateral cooperation between Bishkek and Budapest, the Hungarian side decided to increase the quota to 75 seats.

Separately, the sides expressed readiness for further strengthening of bilateral relations discussed a wide range of issues on international agenda, underlined the proximity of positions on main issues of global agenda and expressed desire to develop cooperation between the two countries within international organizations and forums.

In the course of the conversation alongside with bilateral talks, key issues of regional cooperation between Central Asia and the Visegrad Group were discussed, as well as cooperation within multilateral organizations.
