A delegation on control over press of the Iranian ministry of culture warned pro-governmental newspaper 'Jomhoriye İslami' for spreading Mousavi's statements, ILNA Iran's news agency reported.

During a meeting held on Monday a delegation on control over press of the Iranian ministry of culture warned the following newspapers "Jomhoriye İslami", "Ferhenge Ashti", "Arman", "Karun", "Aftabe Yezd", "Etimad" and weekly magazine "Pencere" for incorrect activity.

In accordance with item 8, article 9 of the Law on Press, "Jomhoriye İslami" and "Ferhenge Ashti" newspapers got a written warning for spreading the last statement of ex-candidate for president Mousavi.

"Jomhoriye İslami" newspaper was official body of the party "Jomhoriye İslami" (the Islamic Republic). The newspaper was founded after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Iran's officials were members of the party "Jomhoriye İslami". Despite breaking up the party in 1987, the newspaper continued its activity in accordance with Iran's ex-leader Ayatollah Khamenei's instructions.
