Iran unveils stats on its most imported goods

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization, affiliated with the country’s Industry, Mine and Trade ministry, has published its annual trade report, which unveils the details of the country’s main imported and exported goods.

Iran imported $43.684 billion worth of goods during the last fiscal year (ended on March 20, 2017), which indicates a 5.2 percent increase, compared to the previous year, according to the report.

Cars worth $1.957 billion (59 percent increase), car parts worth $1.913 billion (48 percent increase), corn fodder worth $1.448 billion, SDH radio communication transmitter/receiver equipments with capacity over 155 Mbps worth $992 million, medical drugs worth $979 million, other radio navigation devices worth $912 million, soybean worth $909 million and rice worth $690 million were the main imported goods of the Islamic Republic in the 12-month period.
