Iran's Esfordi Phosphate Complex increases production

Phosphate concentrate production of Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex increased by 18 percent in Iran’s Yazd Province over the first five months (March 21 – August 22) of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), stated Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

According to the information, the complex produced approximately 44,186 tons of phosphate concentrate in the five months. This figure stood at 37,495 tons during the same period of the previous year.

Furthermore, 15,644 tons of phosphate concentrate have been sent to the related plants in the country. This figure shows an increase of 401 percent compared to the same period last year (3,121 tons).

In the reported period, the Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex produced 111,962 tons of mining materials, which shows a 22-percent decrease compared to the same period last year (143,230 tons).

The Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex is owned by IMIDRO and is located in Bafq County of Yazd Province, 35 km from the county’s administrative center.
