The Head of the Iran`s Presidential office held a meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan to review the implementation of agreements between the two countries and ways to strengthen the level of Tehran-Baku relations.
Mahmoud Vaezi made the remark during a meeting with First Deputy of the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev in Tehran today on May 31.
He addressed the historical, cultural and ethnic commonalities as a driving force to promote relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Today, the relations between the two countries are on avstrategic level," the Head of the Iran`s Presidential office said.
Emphasizing the need to accelerate the implementation of the agreements signed between the two countries, he says that "It is necessary to pursue our agreements in the remaining two months of the President Rouhani`s administration term."
Vaezi said that the cooperation fields that can play a lasting role in the relations between the two countries have to be identified.
