Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili appears on track for re-election, with exit polls suggesting he won more than half the vote in Saturday's vote.
If Mr Saakashvili is confirmed to have won more than 50%, he would avoid the need for a run-off.
But another exit poll put opposition leader Levan Gachechiladze ahead.
The vote is seen as a test for democracy in the former Soviet republic after huge opposition protests were suppressed in November.
