Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ The Georgian parliament will make a statement on Russia's Unilateral Lifting of Restrictions with Regard to Abkhazia on 14 March, Konstantin Gabashvili, the Chairman of the Committee for International Relations of the parliament said.

"We will adopt the final draft of the statement on 14 March after the Russian parliament adopts its own statement on Abkhazia and South Ossetia on 13 March," he said.

The Russian parliament will make a statement on Abkhazia and South Ossetia on 13 March, Gabashvili said. The statement will not include the item on withdrawal of Georgia from CIS as the opposition insists.

According to Nino Burjanadze, the Chairman of Georgian parliament, MPs will discuss the content of the statement and it is not ruled out that the document may be adopted as a decree depending on the situation.

Last week the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia had lifted trade, economic and financial sanctions against the self-declared Abkhazia Republic and recommended to other CIS countries to lift restrictions against the republic as well.
